Acer ConceptD 3 Pro CN315-71P in review: Mobile workstation with space for 3 drives
The processor works through our stress test (Prime95 and FurMark run for at least an hour) for a short time at 2.6 GHz. Then the clock rate slowly drops to 1.6 GHz and remains at this level. The graphics core runs at 1,455 MHz. On battery power, the clock rates are 800 MHz (CPU) and 800 to 1,000 MHz (GPU), respectively. The stress test represents an extreme scenario, which doesn’t occur in everyday life. We use this test to check if the system remains stable even under full load.
The laptop warms up noticeably but not excessively. During the stress test we registered temperatures beyond 50 °C (~122 °F) at one measuring point. The heat development is even slightly stronger when performing the Witcher 3 test. Nonetheless, the temperatures remain in the green range in everyday use.
