Apple is making it easier for Podcasts users to discover new shows focused on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Its new “Coronavirus: Stay Informed” section highlights content from the likes of CNN, NPR, BBC, and ABC News.

Podcasts are a great way to stay up to date with the latest on the COVID-19 crisis if you don’t have time to sit in front of the news all day long. They can also help you understand the virus — and the impact it is having on the world.

It’s now quicker and easier to find those podcasts with the Apple Podcasts app.

Apple Podcasts gets new ‘Coronavirus’ section

If you tap on the Browse tab inside the Podcasts app, you’ll find a brand-new section, titled “Coronavirus: Stay Informed,” dedicated to shows and episodes on COVID-19 from a whole host of trusted and reliable sources.

It includes shows like Coronavirus: Fact vs. Fiction from CNN,Coronavirus Daily from NPR, and Coronavirus Global Update from BBC World Service. The selection varies depending on where you live.

Many of these shows have already made their way into the top charts in the Podcast app. And like all podcasts, they are completely free to listen to. You can stream them instantly, or download for offline listening anywhere.

Take your mind off COVID-19

If you would rather forget about COVID-19 as much as possible, you’ll be pleased to see Podcasts can help with that, too. Other sections under the Browse tab are focused on “Cultivating Calm” and “Boredom Busters.”
